The Intermed Scholarship Project of HealthServe Australia

The Intermed Scholarship Project is an approved Overseas Aid project of HealthServe Australia that provides funds to cover part of the cost of the Summer School and/or the 2 week overseas Practicum, for Intermed Summer School participants coming from, or going to, Australian government approved countries. For details of eligibility for Scholarships see  Fees.

Donations made to HealthServe Australia designated for the Intermed Scholarship Project are fully tax-deductible as the organisation has government recognition under the Overseas Aid Gift Deduction Scheme (OAGDS). HealthServe Australia will deduct an administrative fee (of about 15%).

During each Summer School, applications for Scholarships are considered by the Intermed Committee with full accountability to HealthServe Australia.
To make a donation go to the HealthServe Australia website,  http://www.healthserve.org.au, click on Donate to Specific Projects, scroll down and click on the Intermed Scholarship project and follow the prompts.

HealthServe Australia (www.healthserve.org.au ) was established in 2004 by the Christian Medical and Dental Fellowship of Australia with the aims of: following Jesus Christ's example of compassion and healing towards suffering and disease; embracing his concerns for the needs of the whole person; providing free membership for all Christians involved in health care; using a tax deductible fund called "HealthServe Australia Overseas Aid Fund"; and with the purpose of complementing rather than competing with similar aid groups.

The Vision of HealthServe Australia is to: assist needy persons in developing countries with health needs; organize and coordinate health related ventures with overseas partners; act as a broker or advisor in procuring personnel, equipment and supplies for overseas ministries and provide opportunity for medical and dental students to do overseas electives.
